FAQ
Most of what you'd ask is probably here.
Can't find your answer? Just message me on LINE — no form needed.
I'm in Taiwan. How does it work?
You book the viewing time with the agent yourself, then send me the listing link, address, time and any questions. On the day I video-call you on LINE from the property, and you can ask me to film anything again. Within 48 hours you receive the full, unedited walkthrough video. Everything is in Mandarin.
Will you find properties or contact agents for me?
No — and that's deliberate. Letting agency work is regulated in the UK, and agents are banned from charging tenants service fees. To stay outside that, and to keep my income independent of whether you rent, I only do one thing: attend a viewing you've already booked, and inspect and record it. You find the property and book the time.
Why isn't it free? Other platforms don't charge.
Those platforms earn commission from accommodation operators — they get paid when you sign. They have no reason to tell you about the mould on the wall. I take no commission and charge the same whether you rent or not, so I have no reason to mislead you. That independence is what the fee pays for. Those platforms also only list commission-paying student halls, not the private rooms on SpareRoom and OpenRent — which is where both the bargains and the bad flats are.
What if the agent won't let you film?
It happens. There's a bilingual template on the site for asking permission when you book, and most agents agree. If filming is refused on the day, I still go through the checklist, send you the measurements and what I saw on LINE, and refund you NT$800.
Can I get a refund?
Full refund if you cancel more than 48 hours before the viewing; 50% within 48 hours, because the slot has been held. Full refund if I'm late or don't turn up. If the agent doesn't show, the fee stands, but I'll rebook once for free.
Will you negotiate or sign the contract for me?
No. Negotiation, signing, deposits and any money all stay between you and the landlord or agent. That's the legal line, and it protects you — your money shouldn't pass through a stranger's hands.
Will you only tell me the good things?
No. After the viewing I tell you straight whether I would live there — and if not, why not. The video is unedited, so the flaws stay in.
How do I pay?
In Taiwan dollars, by bank transfer in Taiwan. Prices are fixed in TWD, so there are no exchange-rate surprises or international fees. Pay in full, or pay a NT$1,000 deposit and the rest before the video is delivered.
Do you cover areas outside London?
Greater London only. Zones 1–3 are the standard price; beyond Zone 4 adds NT$600. I don't cover other cities — I don't want to inspect places I don't know.
Can I view several places in one day?
Yes, and it's the best value. Bundle viewings are on the same day, within 5 Tube stops of each other, which is what keeps the price down. Tell me roughly which area when you book and I'll group the slots.
What happens to my details and the video?
The video goes to you and no one else — it isn't published or shared with the agent. I avoid or blur current tenants' belongings. Your details are only used for this booking and never passed to third parties.
Don't gamble on photos. Have someone look first.
