About
A new city, high rent, and no room for mistakes.
I know how unsettling it is to find a flat in London from the other side of the world. So I bring a tape measure and my phone, and stand in the room for you.
I'm Taiwanese and I live in London. When I first came, I did what most people do — still in Taiwan, I scrolled through a few photos on Rightmove, swapped a few emails in English with an agent, and decided where I'd live for the next year.
I know that feeling well: a city you don't know, rent that's far higher than at home, and a big deposit to hand over. Nobody wants to spend that money on the wrong place. But photos only show the angles the agent chooses. How long the walk to the station really is, how big the room actually is, whether it's noisy at night — you only find out when someone is there.
That's why this service exists. You're in Taiwan; I'm in London. For a viewing you've already booked, I go with a tape measure and my phone: I video-call you so you can see it with me, measure the room, check the noise and internet speed, record the whole viewing in one unedited take, and tell you in Mandarin what I saw.
I won't tell you which place to rent — that's your decision. My job is to make sure you have enough information when you make it.
Where I stand
I'm not a letting agent, and I'm clear about it.
Letting agency work is regulated in the UK: agents must join a government-approved redress scheme, and they're banned from charging tenants service fees. I don't want to fall within that — and I don't want any financial tie to agents.
So I draw a clean line: you find the place, you book the time, you sign the contract, and you pay the landlord directly. I do one thing only — attend the viewing you've booked, and inspect and record it.
That line works in your favour. Because I'm not part of the deal, my income doesn't depend on whether you rent; and because I never handle your money, there's no payment risk for you.

Don't gamble on photos. Have someone look first.
